Development & Giving Opportunities

Our New Community...

Our dream of offering Assisted Living in Normal is becoming a reality as
we move forward with the construction plans for Meadows at Mercy Creek.

The first phase of the Meadows at Mercy Creek project will be a 60-unit
Assisted Living Facility. From its simple beginnings, Meadows has
branched out to meet many different needs evident in our community.

This history of service demonstrates the commitment of Meadows to a
changing and growing community. Now, in character with this historical
commitment, we are pursing fundraising by increasing awareness of the
need for contributions to this Assisted Living Project.

We are raising funds to be used for the purchase of furnishings and
equipment, as well as other startup costs associated with marketing,
hiring, and orienting staff. It is our goal to raise $1,500,000.

We are now asking individuals, businesses, and churches to make
generous donations to help reach our goal.

How To Make a Gift...

Gifts of cash, checks, credit card, or online donations are the most
popular ways of giving. For online giving, click here. For our sponsorship
brochure, click here.

There are a variety of other ways to make charitable donations to the
Assisted Living Project. These include:

  • gifts of appreciated real estate
  • gain
  • stock
  • life insurance
  • retirement plans
  • and a variety of gift plans

More information is available if you are interested in any of these
options. Please contact our Development Director, Mary Ann
Watkins by email or at 309-747-3643 or toll free at 855-447-9312.

Charitable commitments can be made over a one- to two-year
period to help us meet our goal. Pledge payments with options
of 1-year and 2-year pledges that can be paid monthly, quarterly,
or annually. Pledge forms are available upon request through our
Development Department. Please contact us.

Gift Recognition...

Meadows Mennonite Retirement Community will recognize all gifts to the
Assisted Living project, unless a donor specifically requests no public
recognition. Gifts of all sizes will be recognized in the Round Robin
newsletter. The newsletter will also provide updates on the Assisted Living
project, as well as progress toward meeting the fundraising goal.

Gifts of $500 and above will be given permanent recognition on the
Tree of Life at Meadows. Gifts will be recognized at the following levels:
