Giving Opportunities
Charitable giving is one way we, as individuals and organizations, express our
values.  It is how we translate our passions into actions.
For this reason,
Meadows Mennonite Retirement Community (MMRC) has a wide range of
giving opportunities for donors to consider.

At this time the greatest need is for the Assisted Living Project, however there
is a variety of other needs that can be considered by donors.  There are
additional special needs that can be funded by persons with interest in special
projects.”

The Greatest Need
We are pursuing fundraising by increasing awareness of the need for
contributions to the Assisted Living project.  We are raising funds to be used
for the purchase of furnishings and equipment, as well as other startup costs
associated with marketing, hiring and orienting staff.   It is our goal to raise
$1,500,000.00.  We are asking individuals, businesses, and churches to
make generous donations to help reach our goal and to make this project
become a reality.

There are several ways to make a gift.  Cash gifts are always appreciated.
You can make a gift by writing a check, using a credit card, or giving online.
Our website address is www.meadowshome.org .  Other gifts may include
securities, bonds and other instruments that can be easily converted to cash.
Gifts can be immediate or deferred.  Deferred gifts are often made though
bequests, trusts and insurance policies.  For those interested in making a
gift of appreciated property, a Charitable Remainder Unitrust or Annuity Trust
is often advantageous.

If you are interested in receiving more information about any of these options
please contact us.

You can make a charitable commitment over a one to two year period to help
us meet our goal.  We are accepting pledge payments with options of 1 year
and 2 year pledges that can be paid monthly, quarterly or annually.  Pledge
forms are available upon request.

We sincerely thank our donors for past support.  We ask for continued prayer,
volunteer and financial support as we move forward with this project.

Additional needs include:
Carpeting Project – Carpeting throughout Meadows Home.
Chaplaincy Fundfor the support of the Chaplaincy Program.
Computerized Charting Project – Computerized charting provides
required documentation for Medicare and Medicaid.  The use of computerized
charting requires less professional staff time for charting, allowing increased
time for interacting with residents and for providing their care.
Dining Rom Expansion We are adding square footage to the dining room
at Stations 1 and 2.  This will provide room that will allow residents to not feel
so crowded while they eat on Station 1.  It will provide a private dining room on
Station 2 for use by families and small group meetings.
Nursing Home Fund for the operating budget and for a variety of
special projects.

Nursing Home Resident Assistance Fund helps to close the gap
between the actual costs of resident care and the amount of payment received
from the State of Illinois for Medicaid recipients
.
Residential and Grounds provides for operational needs and for planting
of trees, bushes, plants and flowers
.
