Giving Opportunities
Charitable giving is one way we, as individuals and organizations,
express our values. It is how we translate our passions into actions.|
For this reason, Meadows Mennonite Retirement Community
(MMRC)
has a wide range of giving opportunities for donors to
consider.
At this time the greatest need is for operating budget; however,
there
is a variety of other needs that can be considered by donors.
There
are additional special needs that can be funded by persons
with interest
in special projects.
The needs are:
Nursing Home Fund - for the operating budget and for a variety
of special projects
Nursing Home Resident Assistance Fund - helps to close the
gap between the actual costs of resident care and the amount of
payment received from the State of Illinois for Medicaid recipients
Phase II Renovation Project – our goal is to pay off the $1 million
guaranteed loan that assisted in the completion of the Phase II
Renovation that included expanded kitchen facilities, enhanced
laundry facilities and new electrical and mechanical systems in
two skilled care areas. The total cost of the Phase II Renovation
was $3,500,000. That renovation benefits all of our residents and
staff by providing an environment that is safe, efficient, effective and
comfortable.
Chaplaincy Fund - for the support of the Chaplaincy
Program
Residential and Grounds Fund - provides for operational needs
and for planting of trees, bushes, plants and flowers
Purley Bertsche Scholarship Fund – helps provide financial
assistance to qualified students preparing for a career in
professional nursing
Ruth Gramm Scholarship Fund - helps to provide financial
assistance to MMRC staff wishing to specifically enhance skills
necessary to complete their job responsibilities at MMRC
Berdena King Scholarship - helps to provide financial assistance
to MMRC staff wishing to specifically enhance skills necessary to
complete their job responsibilities at MMRC
